2010 MBA shortlists!

The shortlists for the 2010 Manitoba Book Awards, wow:

1. From Out of Nowhere was nominated for the Eileen McTavish Sykes Award for Best First Book and the Aqua Books Lansdowne Poetry Prize;

2. Catch That Catfish! was nominated for the McNally Robinson Book of the Year for Young People Award and Best Illustrated Book of the Year Award;

3. I was nominated for the John Hirsch Award for Most Promising Manitoba Writer; and

4. The Imagination Manifesto by GMB Chomichuk, James Rewucki and John Toone was also nominated for the Eileen McTavish Sykes Award for Best First Book.

Winners will be announced at the Manitoba Book Awards gala, hosted by the Manitoba Writers' Guild, on Sunday, April 25, 2010, at the Centre Culturel Franco-Manitobain
